Allison Chen is content creator, pastry chef, and college student from Westchester, New York where she first found her love of cooking with her parents in the kitchen. To pursue her love of baking, she attended a pastry school in France where she also started her social media journey which has garnered over 450,000 followers and 500 million views across all platforms.

Now, she is a current junior at Duke University studying computational media and working part-time in a restaurant. In her free time she continues to bake and film videos, so she can share her recipes and creations with close friends, family, and the world.

Rachel Garcia

Rachel works in talent development by day. She helps people utilize and communicate their strengths and creates employee and manager development programs. She received her BA in psychology at Duke University (2012) and a Master’s in HR Management from Ohio State. She is also a certified Gallup strengths coach and has completed yoga teacher training.

She created Disrupt the Defaults to create a space for people to share their journey of living with more freedom and not being confined to what they think others want for them.

In her free time she loves yoga, writing, and trying new restaurants. Her biggest joy is sharing a meal with the people she loves.
