These Tools Can Help You Identify H-1B Sponsors

As an international student searching for employment in the USA, you’ve likely struggled to identify positions that offer H-1B visa sponsorship. Perhaps you’ve used filters on Handshake and Indeed to search only for roles that will sponsor international students, only to be tricked by incomplete job descriptions or incorrect information from the employer. Maybe you’ve even interviewed for an exciting position, only to be told later that sponsorship isn’t possible.

If you’re dealing with any of these challenges, you’re not alone. While there’s no quick fix for finding sponsors, two Google Chrome extensions might be able to help. Ultimate H-1B Sponsor Checker will indicate whether a company has sponsored H-1B candidates in the past few years when you view job postings from LinkedIn and Indeed. A more recent extension, AiTou Visa Sponsor Checker, pulls data from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and E-Verify to help you identify companies that have recently sponsored H-1Bs or hired students on CPT and/or OPT.

While finding a sponsor is never easy, these tools may help make your search more efficient.
