AES Energy Innovation Challenge

The  AES Innovation Challenge is a case competition for interdisciplinary teams of graduate students. During this competition teams will work to solve a real-world problem facing the energy industry. For reference, last year’s prompt  required teams to redesign existing energy infrastructure to catalyze local support through community benefits. The first place and second place teams are guaranteed $10,000 and $5,000, respectively. Additionally, students will gain exposure to industry professionals and explore post-graduate opportunities through company presentations, coffee chats, and exclusive free memberships to industry groups such as SEIA and EEI

Last year, Duke University was well represented by 4 teams with Ene-Archy winning Second Place with their multi-use offshore wind solution. We are excited to be offering this competition again this year and hope to have Duke University well represented once again.
