🌊 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF)
Applications due on February 1, 2025 | Runs 6/2/25 – 7/2/25

The Undergraduate Research Support Office will offer a summer research program for rising sophomore (Class of 2028) Duke students. In this program, students engage with faculty mentors and program directors to conduct disciplinary-specific research and learn effective communication skills with both professional and lay audiences. As part of the fellowship, students will receive a stipend and housing on Duke’s campus.
Students who have never engaged in research but have a true passion for learning and mentored projects are especially encouraged to apply. Visit https://undergraduateresearch.duke.edu/SURF for more info.

🌅 Deans’ Summer Research Fellowship (DSRF)
Applications due on 2/20/25 | Fellowship runs during Summer 2025

The Deans’ Summer Research Fellowship (DSRF) supports of undergraduate research and inquiry in the arts and sciences over the summer. The goals of the DSRF are to strengthen undergraduate research opportunities for undergraduates, to enlarge the scope of undergraduate research conducted on and off campus during the summer, and to provide support to enable undergraduates to extend the period over which they engage in research.
