Here’s the event lineup:

🔹 FRI, OCT 31 – Kick off the week with an exclusive behind-the-scenes SITE VISIT (1:45-4:30 p.m.; Duke students only) at DG Matrix’s cutting-edge data center.

🔹 MON, NOV 3 – All are welcome to dive into ENERGY TECH INNOVATION at Monday’s keynote speaker & panel discussion (11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; open to public). Hear from Kellan Dickens, the general manager at GE Renewable Energy followed by a panel of professionals including Patrick Raab (commercialization lead at Google’s X, The Moonshot Factory), Haroon Inam (CEO at DG Matrix), and moderator/Duke expert Chris Wedding ⚡.

Fuel up at our COMMUNITY DINNER (6-8 p.m.; Duke students only) while hearing about grid resilience from guest speakers. Hint: These spots fill up quickly, so register soon!

🔹 TUE, NOV 4 – See how students are creatively solving real energy problems at the ENERGY IN EMERGING MARKETS CASE COMPETITION final round (9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.; open to public). The winning teams will be awarded a total of $15,000 in prizes!

Dive deeper into the topic of ENERGY ACCESS AND DEVELOPMENT with a panel discussion (5-6 p.m.; open to public) featuring Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability expert and Director at The James E. Rogers Energy Access Project at Duke Jonathan Phillips as moderator.

🔹 WED, NOV 5 – On Wednesday, take advantage of all that the 2025 ENERGY CONFERENCE (8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; open to public) has to offer. Learn about this year’s theme—The Future of Energy—from keynote speakers, panelists, and professional networking opportunities. 🚨🚨🚨 Attention: Industry professionals! Wednesday, October 15 is the last day for early-bird registration pricing.

🔹 THU, NOV 6 – Wrap up the week with three-event Thursday! Check out startups and creative energy technologies at the INNOVATION SHOWCASE(4-6 p.m.; open to public).

Right after the showcase, Energy Week at Duke is collaborating with talisman to host a CLEAN ENERGY CAREERS PANEL (6-7 p.m.; open to public) followed by a NETWORKING RECEPTION (7:15-9 p.m.; open to public)—make sure to sign up for these two events separately.

Energy Week at Duke is a student-led event series. The Center for Energy, Development, and the Global Environment (EDGE) and Nicholas Institute advise and support the student organizers, and many other Duke schools and units assist with promotion of the event series.
