Jan 1 is the unofficial start of intern recruiting season. Here’s how to find internships before anyone else.
Companies are posting at 7x the normal rate this week.
The problem: 3 out of the 4 biggest job boards (Workday, Greenhouse, Ashby) aren’t searchable. You can only see jobs if you go directly to each company’s page.
Here’s the workaround:
Copy this into Google:
(“Intern” OR “Internship”) (site:myworkdayjobs.com OR site:boards.greenhouse.io OR site:jobs.ashbyhq.com)
Then click Tools → Past 24 hours (or past week for more results)
This searches the platforms companies actually post to, without having to manually check each one to see if they’re hiring interns
Want to add location?
(“Intern” OR “Internship”) (“New York” OR “NYC”) (site:myworkdayjobs.com OR site:boards.greenhouse.io OR site:jobs.ashbyhq.com)
You’ll see hundreds of roles that just went live with fewer than 10 applications.
If you want to refine your search further, just ask chat GPT to help you add more keywords
Most students think they can wait until March to find an internship. If you get your applications in this week, you’ll have one secured before they even start applying.
Note: I tried this with a few variations and the returns were amazing! Test it out today!
