The Inter-American Foundation (IAF) invests in locally-led development across Latin America and the Caribbean. IAF engages community leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs working to make the region and their communities more prosperous, peaceful, and democratic.
Internships are semester-long, volunteer positions that may also be accepted as academic credit for coursework. As part of a small, dynamic team, interns have important responsibilities and contribute directly to community-led development in Latin America and the Caribbean. Opportunities are available through both in-person and virtual options. In-person locations are in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Washington, DC. Interns also have the chance to learn more about grassroots development, socioeconomic issues, government affairs, financial management, legal research, partnerships, and agricultural and urban development issues.
