The Arts Annex is seeking student artists, creatives, teaching artists, and art enthusiasts! We are looking for both undergrad and grad students who are passionate about the arts to join our team for Fall 2026. Front Desk Assistants, Grad Assistants, Ceramic Studio Assistants, and a Summer Assistant (Term 2) position are available. Need a flexible job and want an excuse to engage with art, and be around other creative students? Opportunities to assist with programming, lead your own workshop, represent the Arts Annex across campus, and learn more about ceramics and screen printing are available.

Swing by the Arts Annex on April 20th anytime from 5-7 pm to learn more about the positions we have to offer and tell us more about who you are and why you want to work at the Arts Annex. This interest meeting will be an opportunity to talk with the Assistant Director and current student employees. Official applications will be posted on Jobx at the end of the summer.

What is the Arts Annex?

The Arts Annex is a vibrant hub for student creativity on Duke’s campus, home to rehearsal, studio art, and programming spaces. Operated by Venue and Production Management within Student Affairs, the Arts Annex is dedicated to making the arts accessible to all Duke students. The Arts Annex offers increased studio arts resources, enhanced programming, and a welcoming environment that inspires self-expression, exploration, and collaboration. Open 6 days a week for all Duke students to check out free art kits for screen-printing, ceramics, painting, fiber arts, collage, and mixed media. Whether a student is an experienced artist or trying something new for the first time, the Arts Annex is a non-intimidating art space where all students can develop their craft, connect with other creatives, and bring their ideas to life.
