Hopefully, you made some connections with employers. The next step is to keep those connections going.
Follow up
If you received a recruiter’s contact information, consider sending a follow-up email. If you didn’t receive their information, you may be able to find it by searching for the company in Handshake.
Remember: Career Center staff cannot provide recruiter contact information that isn’t publicly available through Handshake.
Stay connected
You can also:
- Follow companies you’re interested in on LinkedIn
- Engage thoughtfully with their social media
- Look for Duke alumni who work at the organization through LinkedIn or the Duke Alumni Directory
- Consider reaching out to alumni for an informational interview
The goal isn’t to simply collect contacts. Be intentional about maintaining the connections you made and continuing to learn about organizations that interest you.
