Spend your summer in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains! We are looking for enthusiastic, fun, and hard-working individuals ready to create a fantastic summer experience for our campers. Physical Education Interns serve as camp counselors working in our athletic program.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team of coaches to lead and design sports instructional lessons, drills and tournaments
- Mentor and coach campers to improve skill while also fostering sportsmanship & teamwork
- Work with other camp staff to ensure the positive resolution of all camper-related issues by communicating clearly and consistently with camp leadership staff on a daily basis
Staff live at camp and reside in a cabin alongside their group of campers. This is a seasonal, paid position from mid-June to mid-August. Food, housing, a travel stipend, comprehensive staff training, and days off are included as part of the compensation package.
Previous staff majoring in education have mentioned how much working as a camp counselor informed their teaching methods because they had real-life experience connecting with and creating experiences for children.
