- Participate in activities in various areas of the Sioux Falls Police Department which may include, but not limited to: Investigative Services, Traffic, Patrol, School/Community Resource Officers, Crime Lab, K9, and Training.
- Assist with community events such as: National Night Out, Coffee with a Cop, and SFPD Citizen’s Police Academy.
- Development and completion of a 10-week department-focused project.
- Students must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with a GPA of 2.5 or above. Students enrolled in a 4-year program must be in their junior or senior year. Students enrolled in a 2-year program must be in their final year.
- Students must pass a background check prior to employment, which may include: reviewal of application, hiring interview, criminal background check.
