As the Assistant Teacher you will provide developmental care for young children ranging from infant to Pre-Kindergarten. You will enrich children’s development by:
- Assisting the planning and implementation of daily activities that are culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate,
- Maintaining the general safety and health of the children according to established standards, and
- Fulfilling daily administrative processes including health checks, attendance, observations, report sheets, and CACFP meal sheets,
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalency,15 – 30 Early Childhood Education credits from an accredited college or university, and one year previous experience working with children (1250 clock hours).
- Must provide or able to obtain child abuse history, state criminal history, FBI criminal history, and national sex offender history clearances.
- Must be or able to become Mandated Reporter certified.
- Must provide non-communicable diseases physical exam report and TB test by the Mantoux method conducted within one year of hire date.
Physical Demands:
The Head Teacher Assistant is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally use legs to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
