Event Production Assistant (AV & Operations)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area

Job Type: Part-Time, Event-Based

About the Role

Sparknify is seeking a reliable, hands-on Event Production Specialist to support the setup, execution, and teardown of live technology and media events. This role is ideal for a current college student or recent graduate interested in live events, media production, technology, or operations.

You’ll work closely with our production and operations team to ensure smooth event execution, from audiovisual setup to stage preparation and logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of event and AV equipment
  • Move production equipment in and out of venues
  • Help set up stage, lighting, audio, and video equipment
  • Support basic AV operations during events as needed
  • Assist with venue logistics and on-site coordination
  • Work with production staff to ensure equipment is properly placed and secured
  • Maintain a clean, organized production environment before, during, and after events
  • Provide general event operations and technical support

Ideal Candidate

  • Candidate with a strong work ethic and hands-on mindset
  • Comfortable lifting and moving equipment
  • Interested in live events, media production, technology, or operations
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Able to follow technical instructions and work as part of a team
  • Calm and adaptable in fast-paced environments
  • Previous experience with AV, stage setup, or events is a plus, but not required

Requirements

  • Based in the SF Bay Area
  • Able to lift and move event equipment
  • Professional attitude and strong communication skills
