“Spend your time at Duke building a life, not just looking to build a career. Take advantage of all that Duke has to offer. Wander. Explore things that interest you. Study abroad. Surprise yourself by venturing outside of your comfort zone and give yourself the opportunity to discover new passions. Take classes that excite you. Get to know your professors. Do things like 3d printing or pottery that will cost you lots of money once you graduate. Get to know your classmates. Reach out to alumni who do things that you find interesting and learn about what makes them tick. Get to know the incredible people at the Career Center. Sign up for the many cool programs Duke offers. Make memories and form deep relationships. Enjoy the journey to that first job and learn about yourself along the way.”
