Host an Interview (OCI)

An on-campus interview (OCI) is an interview day set up by an employer for Duke students who submit applications for a Handshake job posting. OCIs can be conducted either on campus, or virtually. Employers may utilize the platform of their choice for scheduling and conducting virtual interviews.

Interviews may be requested through the Duke Career Center in Handshake and scheduled Mondays-Fridays between the hours of 8:30am EST – 5:00pm EST. Once you’ve decided on a date and confirmed that it does not conflict with a black out date, submit your Interview request in Handshake. Requests for interviews must be made at least three weeks before the interview date.

After your interview request is approved in Handshake, a member of our team will send you information for booking a venue. It is the employer’s responsibility to contact one of the approved campus venues to check space availability and reserve/pay for the space (venue costs vary). If you experience problems booking a space or reserving space is cost prohibitive for your organization, please reach out to us at careeremployer@duke.edu.
