2024 OneDuke All-Industry Career Fair Day-of Information for Employers

Greetings from Duke University and the OneDuke career centers!

We look forward to having you/your team on campus Thursday, January 25 for the All-Industry OneDuke Fall Career Fair.

We are, for the first time, holding the OneDuke All-Industry Career Fair in the JB Duke Hotel located at 230 Science Drive, Durham NC 27708 on the Duke Campus.

OneDuke Career Fair Schedule

9:00am – 10:00am Display Set Up & Coffee/Tea
10:00am – 2:00pm Career Fair
11:45am – 1:00pm Lunch (located in employer lounge area)
2:00pm – 2:30pm Display Breakdown

As a reminder, your registration includes attendance (and lunch) for up to three representatives, one table/booth, and two chairs. If you are the only representative from your organization at the fair, we will have a member of our staff ask your preference for lunch and bring it to your booth.

Parking and Ride Shares

Parking is available in the Science Drive Parking Deck, 230 Science Drive, accessed from Cameron Blvd. There will be a Duke Parking and Transportation staff member monitoring the deck. After parking, please follow the map below for a very short walk to the JB Duke Hotel.

The Career Center strongly encourages you to take a taxi/Uber/Lyft directly to the JB Duke instead of bringing a vehicle to campus.

Taxi/Uber/Lyft to the JB Duke Hotel: 230 Science Drive, Durham, NC 27708

Lodging and Taxi Services: See lodging and taxi services options.

Item Drop Off

There is an item drop off in the circle in front of the JB Duke Hotel, between the hours of 9:00am-10:00am before the fair. Please note that you may not leave your vehicle unattended. Career Center staff will be there to help you unload your items. After unloading, you must return to Cameron Blvd to enter the parking deck for complimentary parking.

The Duke Career Center strives to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to fully engage. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please contact Jaime Byrd at jaime.byrd@duke.edu.

Shipping

As noted in our fair information in Handshake, we are partnering with Southern Exhibition Services (www.ses.cool) for pre- and post-fair shipping needs. Please contact David White at orders@ses.cool to receive an exhibitor packet and information about payment directly to SES. There is a late penalty for requests submitted after Friday, January 19.

Fair Giveaways

In support of Duke Sustainability, we encourage employers to limit what they bring to campus (including giveaways and booth display items). We recommend bringing items that you can carry with you or utilize shipping. Our team will not be able to take any items from the fair back to the office, so any items that employers bring must be taken with them at the end of the event, shipped back through Southern Exhibition Services or will be discarded/recycled by our staff. Limiting waste is part of Duke’s commitment to a more sustainable world.

The Duke University Career Center is piloting a new way to engage with Gen Z talent and help lower the carbon footprint of recruiting events on campus as part of the Duke Climate Commitment. At our Spring Fair we are partnering with GiveAwayGood to offer an alternative to swag.

Revolutionize your career fair experience with GiveAwayGood and offer an impactful alternative to traditional corporate swag. Turn booth visits into substantive connections, benefitting causes that matter. GiveAwayGood empowers student visitors, improves engagement by offering a meaningful interaction, and eliminates waste from our environment.

Learn how you can level up your Duke Career Fair experience at www.giveawaygood.com. Reach out to nick.talati@giveawaygood.com or visit the Getting Started page and start your journey towards impactful giving.

Electrical Access

There will not be power/electric at each booth, however, there will be a charging station available in the hotel.

By participating in our Career Fair you are agreeing to abide by our 2023-2024 recruiting guidelines and expectations.
