ARC Voice Lab: Practice Interviews and Public Speaking

The VOICE Lab is the Academic Resource Center’s (ARC) service to help Duke undergraduate students build confidence and skill in communication. Whether you’re preparing for a class presentation, a research talk, your thesis defense, an interview, an elevator pitch, or just want to get better at public speaking and polish your interviewing skills, we’re here to help. You can book a session with a peer communication coach at arc.duke.edu/voice-lab.

Through the VOICE Lab, students can:

·         Learn storytelling strategies to engage audiences

·         Acquire tools to manage public speaking anxiety

·         Strengthen academic and professional communication skills

·         Practice presentations in a low-stakes, supportive setting

·         Receive personalized feedback from trained peer-communication coaches
