Vanessa graduated from Duke in 2018 with a BA in Public Policy and an elementary teaching license. She taught in Spain as a Fulbright Scholar and Mentor, then worked in international experiential education before moving to Finland to pursue a Master’s in Changing Education at the University of Helsinki. Since then, she has worked with Escuela21 as a consultant, program coordinator, professional development facilitator, and expert in inclusive education.
Stephanie Mayle ’20

Company: British International Investment
Stephanie graduated from Duke in 2020. She previously worked at the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance before pursuing a Master’s degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science in Gender, Development and Globalisation. She now works in London on the Gender & Diversity Finance team at British International Investment, the UK’s development finance institution.
Ryan Knowles ’10

Company: Google
Ryan graduated from Duke in 2010 as a Psychology major and Classics minor. He spent his first few years working for CPG companies in the US like P&G before joining Google in 2014. His Google career began in San Francisco, but now includes four years in Singapore, and the last two years in Dublin, Ireland. His previous roles have included sales, marketing, product strategy, and go-to-market responsibility. He is currently the global Head of Program Management for an internal L&D organization.
