Meet the New Engineering Career Advisor

A new team member has joined the Duke Career Center!

Sarah Wild, Assistant Director, recently joined the Career Center team and will be the primary career advisor for the engineering career community.

Sarah is a born and raised New Yorker, but has lived in Raleigh for almost 10 years. Sarah attended the State University of New York (SUNY) at Plattsburgh receiving both her bachelor’s in psychology and master’s in student affairs counseling.

She has experience working with college students in the nonprofit world, in higher education as a career advisor, and in the corporate sector as an early-careers recruiter for multiple tech companies. Not

only has she advised engineering students previously, Sarah can provide first-hand insight regarding how to stand out in the interview process, as well as the skills and leadership experience hiring managers seek when hiring for engineering-related roles.

Sarah can help students with career exploration, resume/cover letter writing, internship/job search strategies, interview preparation, salary negotiation, LinkedIn, networking and more!
