Co-Facilitate Connectrix @ Rice University! | Summer Opportunity for Duke Students

Connectrix at Rice is currently looking for Co-advising applicants! Formerly known as the Young Owls Leadership Program, Connectrix at Rice is an overnight week-long, college-readiness program that will be taking place from June 8-18, 2022 on Rice University’s campus. Our goal is to provide a multitude of resources and connections to rising high-school sophomores from the local Houston area. Specifically, we will be educating students on information about the college application process from picking a major to applying for financial aid. Students will be divided into nests, where they will be led through the week activities by their advisors (Rice students) and co-advisors (non-Rice students).

Connectrix co-advisors will be responsible for leading a group of students through a week of on-campus activities and serving as mentors after the weeklong program. They will stay overnight on Rice University’s campus from June 8-18. Co-advisor training is June 8-10, and the program is June 11-18. There will be a stipend included. We are looking for a diverse set of advisors from different areas of studies and backgrounds. If there are things that you wish you would have known when applying for college and want to share that knowledge and information with others, this is the right program for you. Please apply!!
