Massive Growth for “Green Energy” Jobs is Expected in the Next Decade

According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), growth for renewable energy jobs is expected to increase significantly in the next four years (2023 – 2027). The substantial increase in renewable energy supply investment projects will likely lead to new employment opportunities. Global renewable energy is the fastest-growing sector, nearly doubling in employment from 2012 to 2021 (12.7 million jobs total). Countries such as China, Brazil, and the EU are the leading architects of renewable energy investment

projects globally. The United States is also expected to see an increase in energy investments due to, President Biden’s, Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) which will provide tax incentives to global firms investing their dollars in U.S. projects. With this much job growth expected, now is an optimal time for professionals to prepare for and pursue employment opportunities across the clean energy continuum. The clean energy market is in need of consultants, project managers, policy advisors, engineers and more.
