Advanced Energy, a North Carolina based nonprofit energy consulting firm, is awarding a writing scholarship this week! The first place prize is $1,250, second place prize is $750, and third place prize is $500. All 3 winners will also be awarded free registration to the State Energy Conference! Applicants only need to submit a 500-1,000 word essay. Submissions have been low so far, so the chances of winning are better than expected.
This year’s scholarship theme is centered on Affordable Housing and how renewable energy sources help with housing sustainability. The deadline is this Sunday, April 14 and the State Energy Conference is April 23-24. For more information, a flier with the application link and prompt are attached.
