Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Speech and Language Pathologist is responsible for: Providing Speech Therapy to children aged 0-3 in the Early Intervention program; Collaborating with parents and the interdisciplinary team members such as physical therapists, behavioral therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, etc., to develop and or modify program activities in order to maximize the child’s functional skills; Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over at community settings. Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interpret goals and treatment plan to parents. Make recommendations for further developmental assessments as needed; The Clinical Fellow will treat and/or recommend services for students experiencing delays with expressive & receptive language skills, cognition, swallowing, articulation/phonology, fluency and/or oral motor under the supervision of an ASHA certified and state licensed Speech and Language Pathologist. Education and Work Experience Requirements: Education: For Clinical Fellow – minimum of a Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders or New York State certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH), or Teacher for Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) ; For SLP – minimum of Master’s Degree in Master’s Degree in Speech & Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders Licensure: For SLP – State of New York License in Speech and Language Pathology Experience: Early Intervention and/or home-based experience preferred, but not required.
