POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction and daily supervision of the Full Time Program Directors, Personnel Director, and Camp Director, the Media Coordinator coordinates all aspects of photography and video, presentation of slideshows, videos, pictures, Social Media updates, and camp news as directed. The Media Coordinator is a member of the Leadership staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Adheres and complies with the YMCA of High Point Employee Manual, Policy & Procedures Manual, Code of Conduct and Camp Cheerio Staff Standards & Expectations.
- Documents camp life in photos, videos, and print media.
- Takes cabin photos on Opening Day and sends data to publication source.
- Takes photos daily and posts required number of photos on the camp website.
- Develops and maintains a library of scenery, facility, and general camp photos/videos to be used in marketing publications.
- Creates and edits content for the camp website and social media outlets.
- Develops and presents slideshow for the last night of each session.
- Maintains and safeguards camp’s music library on Mac and iPod.
- Assists in the camp office as needed.
- Assists the Events Coordinator as needed.
- Administers basic first aid until qualified medical personnel arrive.
- Serves as an active member of the Leadership Staff, assisting in a weekend camper supervision, evaluations, and participating as a leader in other areas of camp as determined by the Camp Director.
- Attends all staff meetings and in-service trainings.
- Conducts behavior at all times in a professional manner to reflect positively on the YMCA.
- Performs other duties and tasks as requested by immediate supervisor to facilitate efficient and effective operation of the YMCA.
