Your opportunity
We are currently seeking a Business Development Intern who will report to the Business Development Associate Manager as part of our dynamic Business Development, Go-To-Market, Marketing and Events team in New York City.
We’re committed to pushing boundaries, empowering imagination, and driving impactful change in the market. As part of the Business Development team, you’ll be an integral part of our growth journey, helping us forge strategic partnerships, elevate our customer base, and drive revenue change.
How you will contribute
As a Business Development Intern, you’ll be at the forefront of Kering Eyewear’s growth initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, leveraging your creativity and strategic mindset to drive revenue and gain market share. Your responsibilities will include (yet not limited to):
- Analyze performance across the portfolio’s luxury and lifestyle brands (including Gucci, Cartier, Saint Laurent, Maui Jim, LINDBERG, Bottega Veneta, and more), to understand, monitor and improve their business results and achieve their sales goals, providing insights to develop tailor made solutions and strategies to increase the turnover of Kering Eyewear USA.
- Prospect and identifying potential business development partners through market research.
- Build and nurture relationships with internal key stakeholders to understand their needs and analyze the situation, to then present creative and effective solutions.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, training, and product teams to develop compelling value propositions and marketing collateral.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and meet sales targets.
- Conduct market research on ongoing business trends within the luxury and eyewear industry, understanding the market dynamics and competitive landscape to identify business opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
- Providing reports and updates on sales pipeline, activities, and results to management, supported by strong qualitative analysis and quantitative storytelling.
- Work closely with the team on day-to-day monitoring of all Business Functions, assisting in the execution and implementation of cross-functional project solutions, primarily involving Sales, Marketing, Events, Training, Planning, and Go-To-Market teams.
Who you are
- Rising Senior, current Senior or recent graduation (past year) with successful studies in Business Management, Engineering, Economics, Marketing, Communication, Business Management, or similar fields.
- Passion for fashion and luxury is a plus.
- A dynamic, proactive, passionate, enthusiastic, and curious individual, fast learner and committed to teamwork, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong team player and excellent communicator with entrepreneurship autonomy and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
- Ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and execute plans effectively.
- Knowledge in Excel and Power Point, basic programming is a plus.
- Proficiency in English; Spanish or Italian are a plus.
