Compensation
$65,000 – $85,000 (based upon level of experience and education)
Summary
A Project Manager is responsible for delivering projects on time within budget and in accordance with an approved scope of work. Based on the experience level of the Project Manager (I-V), assessment and remediation projects will range from being basic in nature and supported by more senior staff, to complex, multi-faceted projects where the Project Manager supervises others who complete support tasks. Types of work encountered may include Limited Phase II Investigations as well as Voluntary Action Program (VAP) and Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations (BUSTR) projects. Overlap with the Due Diligence, Mergers, and Acquisitions group to be expected.
Essential Duties
- Project Manager will have a high level of competency and independence should be demonstrated;
- Manage projects demonstrating a complete understanding of project goals; schedule, scope, budget, and quality;
- Develop and maintain client relationships;
- Review reports ensuring compliance with applicable standards and Client expectations, or identify resources to do such;
- Find solutions to project complications that results in maintaining deliverable due date, budgets and Client expectations with an increasing level of skill and independence; and
- Meet or exceed established Project Manager invoicing goal annually, minimally $250,000.
Education and/or Experience
- 5-10 years of environmental professional and project management experience;
- Field experience in Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), state underground storage tank (UST) programs, and/or State/Federal Brownfield programs.
- Expertise in technical writing, including Phase I and II ESA reports;
- Experience supervising staff and subcontractors, and coordinating project work;
- Ability to work directly with Clients effectively;
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, engineering, or related field;
- 40 Hours OSHA HAZWOPER certificate preferred; and
- Professional Certification preferred (PG, CPG, CHMM, or equivalent).
