Develop a constellation of mentors. One who is a soundboard. One who is good at providing you great feedback on writing. Another who is a cheerleader. One who is willing to connect you with their network. And so on. No one person can hold all of the good qualities that you need in a mentor, so be open to gathering them, engaging with them, and keeping them updated with your accomplishments and lessons learned. Just as you can add more, you may find that the season to letting one go comes, as well. This is normal. We all grow; sometimes we grow apart. As your life changes, your needs change and so must your curation of mentors.
