As members of the Duke community, be sure to engage in as many informational interviews with faculty, staff, and graduate/professional students as you can. These interviews afford the chance to learn about areas, departments, disciplines, and fields from those who know them well, and they often bring the benefit of discovering new opportunities and experiences you can pursue in both the short- and long-term. Be sure that you end every interview by asking for recommendations of 2-3 people you should speak with next so that you are constantly growing your network.
