DHS STEM-Designated Degree Program List

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) STEM Designated Degree Program List includes all fields of study that qualify for the 24 month STEM Optional Practical Training (OPT) program for international students studying on an F-1 visa.

International students can crosscheck the CIP code on their Form I-20 with this list to confirm whether their degree program qualifies for STEM-OPT. For further questions, contact Duke Visa Services.
